Cornwall's not known for being flat, but you can find some lovely level stretches for walking and cycling, particularly on old railway lines or around lakes. Here are some favourites in the south-east of the duchy, largely traffic free: |
Drake's Trail Running from Tavistock to Plymouth, this takes you through beautiful scenery in the Plym Valley. |

Granite Way Bordering Dartmoor, from Lydfrord near Meldon reservoir and on to Okehampton - spectacular! |
Siblyback Reservoir A 3 mile long path around the circumference of the lake. Completely traffic free with car park, fishing, kayaking, adventure playground, camping etc https://www.swlakestrust.org.uk/

Burrator Reservoir This route follows a road around the reservoir and offers loads of places for picnics and walking further onto Dartmoor. Plenty of parking but only a very small part completely traffic free. www.bbc.co.uk/devon/outdoors
