A warm welcome is assured at award winning Mennabroom, which set on the southern slopes of Bodmin Moor. Mennabroom currently holds the AA award for Dinner and Breakfast. The grade II listed farmhouse dates back to the 13th Century and is believed to be the oldest inhabited house on the moor. Close to the A30 and A38 makes it an ideal touring base for both Cornwall and Devon. The Eden project and Lanhydrock House are close by. The beaches at Padstow to the north and Fowey to the south are only a short distance away.
The farmhouse offers a haven of peace and tranquility for visitors who are welcomed with a cream tea on arrival. Aga cooked dinners are available with prior notice. All our ingredients are either produced at Mennabroom or sourced within Cornwall. At breakfast our own homemade sausages and eggs are served.
In addition to our two rooms in the house, we are also able to offer bed and breakfast in our courtyard cottages, giving more space and privacy with breakfast either in your cottage or in the farmhouse.
Visitors are most welcome to walk our 40 acres which includes a riverside walk and ancient woodlands walk, and do not forget to visit our pedigree herd of rare breed Oxford Sandy and Black pigs, Dexter cattle and Wiltshire Horn sheep.
