Lesquite is surrounded by 1.5 acres of informal gardens and 13 acres of old woodland. It is bounded on one side by a tributary of the river Fowey. During the summer months you can eat outside on the patio, enjoying the view to the pond and watching the antics of the wild duck. On cooler days, the cottage has a lovely gas stove where you can watch the flickering flames and not worry about cleaning up the ashes. Cornwall has inspired many artistic talents. Locally we have the Daphne du Maurier festival in May and Mary Wesley lived just a few yards away and drew inspiration from our local beach of Lansallos (3.5 miles away). Cornwall is noted for lovely gardens including, Heligan and Trebah, famous houses of Lanhydrock, Cotehele and Pencarrow, and Eden is a 30-minute drive away. The bustling fishing harbours of Fowey, Polperro and Looe are also very close. With so much to see and do during the day, the peace and quiet of Lesquite will ensure you have a wonderful stay.
