Galowras Farm Cottage provides high quality accommodation in an idyllic situation. The settlement and manor of Galowras is first mentioned in the Domesday survey of 1086. The farm is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty and has been in the ownership of the Tregaskes family for nearly 100 years. Traditional farming practices have nurtured wildlife in the south facing valley and amongst wild flower meadows, woodland and ponds there is an abundance of plant and animal life for visitors to enjoy. A favourite is watching our barn owls hunt the long grass on a summers evening. Galowras is truly a paradise for walkers and birdwatchers and offers a haven for those who simply want to escape to peace and seclusion. We only have the one holiday cottage at Galowras so you can enjoy it as your own special place during your holiday. To welcome you we provide a home made cream tea on arrival. A traditional stone barn conversion, the cottage is luxuriously appointed, very well equipped and provides a cosy retreat in any season. Centrally heated and double glazed throughout, downstairs features slate floors, beamed ceilings and a wood burning stove. Despite its private and away from it all location Galowras is just 1.75 miles from the busy fishing village of Mevagissey with its many small shops, pubs and excellent restaurants. The Lost Gardens of Heligan are just 5 minutes from Galowras and The Eden Project is within a half hour's drive. The coast path and numerous safe sandy beaches are nearby.
