Cartole Cottages

Along a quiet leafy country lane a select group of six holiday cottages are set in six acres of grounds, surrounded by a patchwork of fields.  Situated between Looe and Polperro and with easy access to the coast.  The village of Pelynt is one mile away with local shops, public house and restaurant.  Centrally located for easy exploration of Devon and Cornwall and attractions such as Helegan and the Eden Project.  

There is a Hot Tub in its own building where you can either open the tinted windows and enjoy the country views or close them for a quiet, private, relaxing dip in the warm water.

New for this year is a Sauna in its own cedar wood cabin

A play area is situated away from the cottages, where youngsters can swing, climb or just kick a ball.

There is a field walk, ideal for walking your dog or for that romantic evening stroll.

Wi Fi is now available in all cottages.

The Old Stable (sleeps 2)

A pleasant cottage with combined living and dining room with a kitchen area, a comfortable two-seater settee and pine dining furniture. Flat screen TV with Freeview and ipod doc, Wi Fi. The cottage has a double bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Penny’s (sleeps 4)

Lounge with dining area, 32 inch flat screen TV, Freeview and DVD player, Wi Fi and separate kitchen.  Bathroom with bath and shower over.  Upstairs double bedroom and twin bedroom.  Beautiful open country views from lounge and bedrooms.  Large lawned area with picnic table, and parking outside door.

Linney (sleeps 4)

Refurbished for 2010

Two bed-roomed cottage with all rooms on ground floor.  Large lounge with log effect electric fire, 32 inch flat screen TV, DVD player, Freeview, Wi Fi and dining area.  Newly fitted  kitchen with halogen hob and built in oven. New bathroom suite with bath and shower over,heated towel rail and shaver point. Double and twin bedrooms.  Suitable for people with reduced mobility.  Parking outside door.

The Shippen (sleeps 4 + cot)

Refurbished in 2009.

Large lounge with dining alcove, 32inch flat screen TV with Freeview, DVD & Video and Wi Fi. Newly decorated with new carpet and log effect electric fire. New bathroom suite with shower over bath, heated towel rail, shaver point and fan heater. Newly decorated kitchen with fridge freezer, microwave and new electric cooker. One double bedroom, one twin bedroom and bath room on first floor. A very comfortable cottage for four persons and a cot.

I am afraid we can no longer accept dogs in this cottage.

Kernewyck (sleeps 4 + cot)

One of our larger four person cottages. Very large lounge with log effect electric fire, 32 inch flat screen TV, DVD player, Freeview,  Wi Fi and dining area.  Separate kitchen. Bathroom with bath and shower over, heated towel rail and fan heater.  Upstairs double bedroom and twin bedroom.

Caro’s (sleeps 6 + cot)

Accessed by seven steps and a short grass pathway.  Facing South over a large lawned area with picnic table.  Large kitchen with dining area.  Separate lounge with log effect electric fire, 32 inch flat screen TV, DVD player Freeview and Wi Fi.  Ground floor double bedroom with en-suite shower room.  Main bathroom on ground floor.  Upstairs, bedroom with bunk beds and vanity unit and a twin bedroom.

All cottages have colour TV’s with Freeview, DVD players and Videos and Wi Fi.  Kitchens have full size cookers and fridges, microwaves and toasters etc.  All cottages except Old Stable have bathrooms  with a full size suite and electric shower over the bath and either a heated towel rail or radiator plus an electric wall heater.  Old Stable has an en-suite shower room.  Caro’s also has an en-suite shower room in addition to it’s main bathroom.  Beds are made with duvets ready for your arrival.  Please note towels are not provided but can be requested at a cost of £10 per set, one bath and one hand towel.  Cottages are heated with either night storage heaters or full central heating. All electricity is included in the rental.  There is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.  A selection of Dvd’s, Videos and books are available to borrow.

Dogs by arrangement at £20 per week.

Prices £200 - £820 per week.
