Degembris Farmhouse

Degembris inspires imagination of former times, remaining an unspoilt gem of Cornish history.

 Built on the site of Degembris Manor, the earliest recorded date is 1241 as Tygembres, changing to Degembrys in 1461. Major changes were made 16th to early 17th Century, by raising the first floor and the replacement of thatch with a slated roof. This Grade II listed building also has the unusual feature of a slate hung exterior. The Woodley family are first mentioned in 1893 with successive owners up to the present day. Roger and Kathy have now passed on the reins to their daughter, Hannah and her family, enabling the tradition to continue. From the parking area a few steps lead up to the pretty front garden, the perfect place to relax and unwind. These picturesque surroundings overlook a beautiful wooded valley where you can enjoy a gentle stroll along our peaceful country trail.
