Lower Penhallow Farm
Self catering near Truro
Lower Penhallow Farm is on the Roseland Peninsula in South Cornwall.
It is a working farm in a peaceful rural setting, surrounded by Cornish wildflower hedgerows. A footpath to Pendower beach (just 1 mile) links it to the South West Coastal Path and many other trails in the area. The owners keep Ruby Devon cattle, Shetland ponies, sheep and chickens
The farm has two holiday cottages in a converted barn, both with central heating, wood-burner, digital TV, radio, DVD, microwave, dishwasher and free wireless broadband internet access. Bed linen, towels, electricity, central heating and laundry facilities are included in the price. In season a self service shop offers daily provisions and when available home grown and local produce can be purchased. Currently offering short breaks in May.
The "Mallard" sleeps up to four people in two bedrooms and "Shelduck" sleeps six people in four bedrooms - please see our own website for details of interior layout and availability. Both units look out over charming countryside to the south and have a garden area with BBQ. Sometimes, in spring, they also offer a grandstand view of nesting barn owls as they feed their young.
The Roseland is known for unspoilt rural and coastal scenery with plenty of walks and good swimming beaches – all without the need for a long drive – and the farm is within easy reach of Heligan Gardens and the Eden Project.
